How To Spot A Fake Abuja Big Boy

Lol at this. Girls are not smiling. This was written by Chinenye Ugonna of Premium Times. Lol, Chineye the same thing happens here in Lagos. Fake broke guys with no means of livelihood, lmao.

This week, we are going to put the spotlight on fake Abuja big boys, FABBs too – they are all FABBs. These guys are always well-dressed with flashy cars. Some of them are even from rich homes. You see them looking like a bag of money, meanwhile nothing in their bank accounts. There is nothing wrong with looking good and not having money to back it up. There is only something wrong when you are doing it for packaging.

Girlfriend, Run!! Your Boo is Not a Keeper!

Post was written by Joy Isi Bewaju
A keeper: (n) someone who you’d likely spend the rest of your life with if you find him/her.My dear sister, sorry to say this, but that man you are clutching on to like the latest LV purse, is not a keeper.
I know it hurts- these truths; tearing at your insides like a savage beast. Would you rather I keep quiet and watch you mourn inconsolably a few months down the line over unrequited love and self-worth smashed to tiny bits; bemoaning time that cannot be recovered, with tear marks like a child forced to swallow pap without sugar every morning? Would you rather I turn the other way and pretend I didn’t see that gaffe- the one you tried to hide just so we can all pretend that your man is a good one?

Doctors Discover 36 Year Old Baby Skeleton Inside Indian Woman

After nearly four decades after her unborn infant died, doctors in India have removed a baby’s skeleton from inside its mother. An Indian woman Kantabai Thakre became pregnant in 1978 at the age of 24. Doctors said the ectopic pregnancy (a complication of pregnancy in which the embryo implants outside the uterine cavity) had little chance of success.
Thakre said she was terrified of an operation, so she fled home and sought treatment for the pain in a small clinic near the village she lived. The pain subsided after a few months and she was convinced that she had been cured.

How Ebola Virus Disease Came To Our Door - First Consultants Hospital

Dr. Ameyo Stella Adadevoh, the Nigerian physician who died in Lagos this week, was mistakenly exposed to the Ebola Virus Disease at the First Consultants Medical Center in Ikoyi where she worked and attended to Patrick Sawyer, the patient who brought EVD into the country. But she was heroically instrumental to preventing a massive outbreak in the country, an effort she paid for with her life last Tuesday.

A statement she co-authored with Dr. B.N. Ohiaeri before her death explained how Mr. Sawyer was first diagnosed with malaria upon his arrival on the night of July 20.  Here is the text of the statement by First Consultants Medical Center Ltd.

Back from Boko Haram Hell - Survivor Tells His Traumatic Story

The Boko Haram insurgency is far beyond the problem of the North East people as families in other parts of the country are now equally battling the bitter taste of the sect’s rampaging activities. One of such is Alhaji Mustapha Oyeyinka who is now cursing the day he decided to relocate to Nigeria from Europe where his family has been doing fine.

Today, he has not only lost his sight to the insurgents but lives with an agonizing memory of seeing his wife raped along with other women almost on a daily basis for three months in one of the camps of the deadly sect in Kaduna State. Enraged and bitter, the frustrated 50-year- old Mustapha told DailySun his story, here are excerpts:

Excited about his return to Nigeria, Alhaji Mustapha Oyeyinka sometime in February 2011 decided to take a trip to Kaduna with his wife, Rachael to attend a wedding ceremony. Unknown to him, that trip will alter his destiny as they ended up in a Boko Haram camp where they spent three horrifying months.

"I don't owe you any explaination' - says Minister who approved Sawyer's trip to Nigeria

I just can't hold back my emotions with this one, really! The Liberian Minister who approved late Patrick Sawyer's trip to Nigeria has angrily reacted after he was criticized for letting Sawyer, a staff of the Liberian government, leave Liberia for Nigeria despite Liberian health officials placing him on Ebola danger list.

Deputy Finance Minister Sebastian Muah Omar told a Facebook user who asked him why he made such a decision that he does not owe him any explanation. He also said he wasn't late Sawyer's doctor to stop him from traveling.

One of the minister's followers queried him, saying,

“As his superior, if a man tells you his sister died from Ebola and he could have beenexposed do you not think it is your duty to ask the hard questions or maybe you could have reported this to the health officials?...

Ebola: Why Patrick Sawyer Travelled To Nigeria – Wife

The widow of late Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian who brought Ebola into Nigeria, has defended her husband’s decision to travel to Africa’s most populous country, saying he did so in desperate search for a country with better healthcare system than his own country.
In an article published earlier today, TMZ Liberia Magazine quoted Decontee Sawyer, who is a radio host in New York, as explaining that Mr. Sawyer had no trust in the healthcare system in Liberia and had possibly headed to Nigeria with the hope of receiving better treatment for his ailment.
Mrs. Sawyer shared her thoughts on her Facebook profile from which TMZ Liberia sourced it for publication.

A nurse who came in contact with the late Liberian-American Ebola patient Patrick Sawyer has fled from quarantine in Lagos. She returned to her home in Enugu. According to Sahara Reporters, she has since come in contact with 20 other people.
The Minister of Information Labaran Maku revealed that the nurse and the 20 people are currently under surveillance. As a result of her decision, 189 people are now being monitored in Nigeria. Speaking at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting today, he said that the nurse and the 20 people she was in contact with are currently under surveillance in Enugu.
“All those who she was in contact with, including her husband, are under quarantine. The medical team has been able to trace all those who made contact with her,"
Three have died from the disease: Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian-American businessman who collapsed in Lagos, an attending nurse, and an ECOWAS staffer who worked with Sawyer.  I hope she's happy that she may have likely infected her husband, family and friends with it.

5 Things Abuja Big Babes Do To Get Money

This is according to City People Magazine but I don't quite agree because there are females who work hard for their money plus it does not really make sense to me but hey. People in the know already know it’s a ‘normal’ way of life for some ladies in the city. Read on:

Do you know that quite a lot of babes who live in Abuja do not have any correct job that they do. Do you also know that very few of them have shops or any tangible work place they can point to as office, yes they live big and they drive flashy and exotic cars, live in very expensive apartments, dress to kill, buy expensive things and travel abroad for holidays.

Some of those babes do not have their parents or relatives in Abuja. Some are students but still engage in dirt acts, while some don’t even have anything doing.

This is heartbreaking. A pregnant woman who went for her usual check up at the First Consultant Hospital Obalande – same hospital that Patrick Sawyer was admitted -  tested positive of the virus on Friday. She got infected after being treated by the same nurse who attended to the Liberian carrier, Patrick Sawyer.

It will be recalled that two nurses came in direct contact with Mr. Sawyer and one of them died this week – the other nurse, Justina is still alive.

The pregnant woman has since been quarantined at the mainland hospital where there is an isolation emergency center for Ebola virus victims.

Spanish priest with Ebola treated with experimental serum, Zmapp

The 75 year old Spanish priest who was infected with the Ebola virus in Liberia is being treated with the new experimental drug, Zmapp, which was used to treat two US missionary doctors infected with the virus.

The Spanish government claimed yesterday that the drug was imported from Geneva and doctors have begun to administer it on Fr. Miguel Pajares at Madrid’s La Paz-Carlos III hospital where he is in isolation.

The first person to be treated with the serum, Dr. Kent Brantly, saw his condition improve after being given Zmapp.

Since his treatment began, Fr. Pajares is said to be in stable condition, no longer has fever, and hasn't any hemorrhaging. Doctors believe that his condition will greatly improve in the coming days.

When will the ZMapp drug get to Africa? just wondering...

FDA lifts hold on experimental Ebola drug from Tekmira

Culled from CBSNews
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has eased safety restrictions on an experimental drug to treat Ebola, a move that could clear the way for its use in patients infected with the deadly virus.

The company has a $140 million contract with the U.S. government to develop its drug, TKM-Ebola, which targets the genetic material of Ebola. But last month the FDA halted a small study of the injection in adults to request additional safety information.

Don’t Discriminate against Second Wives - Nkiru Sylvanus

Really? ok. In a recent interview with Channels TV, Nkiru talked about the possibility of being a second wife.
She said, “It depends on who and the condition. Yes (I’ll seriously consider it), if the situation is right and the person is a good person, because there are situations and conditions that can actually make you find the right person in the wrong place and at the wrong time”. Her comments sparked a little controversy and in a new interview with Punch Newspapers, she defends her statement and refuted reports that she is dating a politician.
