Nigerian Man Set To Ride Bike From UK To Lagos
At least he's riding and not trekking and for a good cause. Omo Alokwe, a keen motorcyclist is set to ride from Land’s End to Lagos Nigeria, in November to raise funds for a humanitarian aid organisation, Medicine Sans Frontiers (MSF).
The Nigerian born Business Change Analyst is taking on the challenge on his own and aims to raise £20,000 for MSF.
He will start from Land’s End and ride to Dover where he will travel on the Euro-tunnel to France and then onto Morocco and through Senegal, Mali and Togo before reaching Nigeria.

Nigerian Female Student Sentenced to Death in Malaysia for Drug Trafficking
A Nigerian Student in Malaysia named Mary George Unazi was sentenced to death on Thursday for drug trafficking.
Daily Independent reports that she committed the offense on May 10, 2011, when she was found with a bag containing 765.9gm of metamphetamine at theKL International Airport (KLIA).

Oh yes! Trekking has come to stay in Nigeria. So over the past few weeks I have seen quite a number of trekkers either for politicians or for "Nigeria's unity".
The newest trekker is a woman by the name Agu Chidera Joy who wants to trek from Enugu to Abuja in what she described as a unity walk.

"Nigeria Is The Worst Place To Live" Says Stephanie Samuel
Stephanie Samuel, the 24-year-old Nigerian migrant who was one of nearly 6,800 migrants rescued in the Mediterranean, and gave birth at sea, reportedly stated that Nigeria is the worst place to be.
She made the statement during an interview with Reuters when asked about her ordeal.

Nigerian Visa Reportedly Obtainable for N100 to N200 in 13 Countries
This is ridiculous, just N200. According to a report by Punch, a Nigerian visa is available for between N100 to N200 in a total of 13 countries.
The countries this applies to are said to be: Mauritania, Monaco, Morroco, New Zealand, Panama, Uruguay, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Burma, Dominican, Chile and Colombia.
South African President Reportedly Promises to Pay 50,000 Rands to Citizens with HIV Status Tattoo
South African president, Jacob Zuma, has reportedly promised to pay 50,000 Rands (about N840,000) to confirmed HIV positive citizens who tattoo their status near their genital area.
In addition to the money, such individuals will also be given free counseling and medication, Vanguard reports.

Nigerian Man Arrested In Thailand For Drugs
A 29-year-old Nigerian, Onyejiekwe Morgan Chinemerem, has been arrested by the Thailand Metropolitan Police in his rented room in Bangkok for allegedly masterminding the sale of crystal methamphetamine and cocaine.
He was arrested in a sting operation with 31.47 grams of crystal methamphetamine or “ice” and 889.63 grams of cocaine as revealed by Metropolitan Police Commissioner Police Lt Gen Sriwarah Rangsitpramkul and Police Colonel Suthep Chanasit, an inspector of the Metropolitan Police Division 4, in a press conference at 4 pm on Tuesday, 29th of April.

Nigerian Nurse Arrested For Killing Toddler After Submerging Her in 130-degree Hot Water
A Nigerian nurse based in Queens, New York, United States, has been arrested in the scalding death of a special-needs toddler after she submerged her in 130-degree bath water for 30 seconds.
According to Daily Mail, the licensed nurse practitioner, Oluyemisi Adebayo, 54 was arrested on Wednesday at around 7 a.m in JFK Airport just as she was about to flee the country and board a flight back home to Nigeria.
