Veteran Nollywood Actor Festus Aguebor is Dead

Days after the tragic death of popular Igodo actor Michael Odiachi, Nollywood has experienced another great loss. Nollywood has been thrown into a deep state of mourning following the demise of a veteran Nollywood actor, Festus Aguebor known for his white beards and starring in major thrilling movies.

Ace producer, Fidelis Duker announced on Facebook the passing away of the actor who was popular for his roles in movies such as 'The King and I', 'Family Contract', 'Rituals' and 'A Kiss from a Rose'.

He was also popular for his role as the grandpa in family series, Household.

49-year-old Nigerian man, Muhammadu Igomigoh, a security guard, shot his Nigerian girlfriend, 44-year-old Nnenna Ogbonna, a licensed nurse and then killed himself during an argument at their home in Middle River, Baltimore USA on Tuesday, February 16th.

Budding actress Chrystabel Goddy who brutally attacked her colleague, Princess Chineke while on a movie set last Friday, has been charged to court. This is coming few days after the leadership of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, issued a statement, suspending her from the guild.

She was charged to a magistrate court, sitting at Ogba, Lagos, during the week, for allegedly attacking and inflicting physical injuries on her fellow actor, resisting arrest and hitting a Police officer. HVP gathered that the case has been adjourned till 8th of March.

Thieves Steal Bags Of Human Hair From Indian Temple

The city police were in for a shock on Monday as a unique crime was reported from the Simhachalam temple. While most thieves eye precious jewellery and other items, a group of miscreants fled with 10 bags of special grade human hair worth around Rs 10 lakh from the temple premises.

According to sources, this was the first time that such an incident happened in the Port City. Thieves entered the Lord Varahalakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple on Sunday night and took away the best quality human hair kept at Kesa Khandana Shala (tonsuring centre).

A 51-year old man has been arrested by the police for raping an 8-year old girl. The primary 3 pupil was on her way back from school when Kayode Michael, lured her to an alley and defiled her. The suspect, a casket maker, was subsequently arrested following a complaint made by the victim's mother.

According to the mother, her daughter's cry for help attracted the attention of residents in the area. She was bleeding from her private part when they rescued her. She rushed her to a hospital where doctors confirmed that what they already know. The doctors added that the suspect also inflicted severe injury on her private part.
