Nigerian Man and His Wife Arrested over N180m Love Scam


The Crime Suppression Division (CSD) of Thailand’s Police has arrested a Nigerian, Chinaka Chinedu, who is said to be 23-years-old, and his Thai wife, Uraporn Kesawatana, 34 for allegedly scamming Thai women seeking for marriage, to the tune of 20 million Thai Baht (about N180m).

Bangkok Post reports that the CSD deputy commander, Sithatkhet Khruwatanaset said the duo were arrested on Phetkasem 77 Road in Nong Khaem district, Bangkok.


Woman Dumps Her Baby on the Street Two Hours After Birth


The Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Fatai Owoseni, on Thursday said the Police had arrested a 31-year-old woman who allegedly dumped her baby on the street about two hours after her birth.

Owoseni, who gave the suspect’s name as Ifunanya Eme, an indigene of Enugu State, said she was arrested on Tuesday during the Eid el-Kabir holiday.

Darasimi Ogunwunmi, a 3-year-old Kindergarten One pupil of Fahsal Children’s School at Ilupeju Estate, Idiroko, Ogun State, has died, about 10 months after he drank caustic soda that was left carelessly around his classroom by his teachers, PUNCH reports.

He was said to have told the teachers many times that he was thirsty and helped himself when he received no attention.

7 & 10-year-old Boys Arrested in Cameroon for Allegedly Raping and Killing 1-year-old Girl


Something doesn't quite add up here, however, these days anything is possible. The Police in the Kumbe Balindo, Ndian Division in the South West region, Cameroon has arrested two boys, aged 7 and 10 for allegedly raping and killing a 1-year-old girl.


6 U.S Citizens, 1 Nigerian Sentenced to Prison over Online Fraud


Six U.S. citizens and a Nigerian national were on Tuesday, sentenced to federal prison for their roles in online fraud schemes that distributed more than $40 million in counterfeit checks using ‘mystery shopper’ websites and ‘work from home’ scams. The criminal enterprise was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

Sultan of Sokoto Announces Monday, September 12 as Eid-el-Kabir Day


The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has announced Monday, September 12 as the Eid-el-Kabir Day, 1437 AH.

This followed the declaration of Saturday, September 3 as the 1st of Zulhijja, 1437 AH.

The General Overseer of Tongue of Fire Ministry, Shogunle, Lagos, Chukwuma Nkwocha, 38, who was arrested by the police for camping over 30 teenagers in his house and using them as sex slaves, has said that he only slept with one of them.

Vanguard reports that one of the girls had reported to the police after she and the pastor had a misunderstanding.
