A 65-year-old pastor, Kunle, is seeking to be divorced from his wife of 32 years over alleged battery.

According to Daily Post, he told an Igando customary court:

Anytime we have misunderstanding, she can beat the hell out of me. 

President Of National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes Has Died

The president of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (NANP), Jessica Elvis, reportedly passed away Sunday afternoon.Elvis died in an undisclosed hospital in Benin after battling a protracted heart-related disease, Daily Post reports.  

The secretary-general of the association, Tamar Tion, confirmed Elvis’ death. The secretary described Elvis’ demise as a sad loss to the group. 

“Hi, want to inform you that we just lost our president Jessy this afternoon. She died after battling heart-related disease for years. It is a sad loss to NANP and we pray God to give her family and 15-year-old daughter the fortitude to bear the loss,” the statement says.

Prostitute Dies After Several Rounds Of Sex With Customers In Enugu

It was the end of the road for a prostitute when she died after a several rounds of sex with several customers in a brothel in Enugu State.

The incident, which occurred on Saturday, led to the arrest of the last customer who spent the night with her, a man named Ikechukwu Oga. 

Abacha's Loot is “Too Huge” to Handle - World Bank

Activists of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) are said to have contacted officials at the World Bank, demanding for information about the status of recovered funds looted by the late Nigerian Head of State, Sani Abacha, which is reportedly over $11.3 billion.

In response to the inquiry, World Bank representatives said, “In response to your request, we would like to inform you that we are still considering your request and we will need additional time because the money involved is too huge for us to handle,” Channels reports.

The report further states that it typically takes 20 working days to respond to such requests, however; under special cases it could take much longer time.

World Bank has asked for more time to be able to supply comprehensive information on how the recovered Abacha loot was spent. 

Pro-Biafra Activists in India Threaten to Destroy Nigerian Embassy

Some pro-Biafra activists in India under the umbrella of Indigenous People of Biafra have threatened to destroy the Nigerian embassy in the country as a means of protesting the detention of  Radio Biafra director, Nnamdi Kanu.

The protesters took to the streets earlier this week, wore vests bearing the insignia of Biafra, and staged a protest at the Nigerian High Commission building in New Delhi, Punch reports.

This is a highly commendable act and should be heard by all and sundry. A Nigerian-American doctor is in the news today as he recently built and donated 100 bungalows for widows and other indigent persons in Umuchukwu, Orumba South Local Government Area in Anambra State.

Dr. Godwin Maduka is the founder of the Las Vegas Pain Institute and Medical Center. Dr. Maduka completed his Graduate Medical training at the Harvard University School of Medicine in Anesthesia and Critical Care and Pain Management.

Rivers State Governorship Tribunal Rules INEC To Conduct Fresh Elections: Wike Ordered Out

The Rivers State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Saturday nullified the election of Governor Nyesom Wike, the current governor of Rivers State who won the election as the PDP candidate in the April 2015 governorship election. 

The governorship candidate of the APC, Dakuku Peterside filed the petition  asking Tribunal to nullify the governorship election in the state and to order a new election. 

Governor Nyesom Wike and his legal team asked the Tribunal to dismiss the petition. 

Based on today’s ruling, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been ordered to conduct a new governorship election exercise in the state. 

Chairman of the Tribunal, Justice Suleiman Ambrosa delivered his judgement. In his ruling, he said, “We hereby order INEC to conduct fresh elections”.

Fake Nigerian Nurse Sentenced to 7 Years in Prison After Failed Abortion Attempt

A fake nurse named Taibat Jegede, popularly called “Alhaja,” has been sentenced to seven years in prison after conducting a failed abortion on a patient who died during the procedure.

The deceased experienced bleeding complications after the failed abortion in May 2012, and subsequently died, Daily Post reports.

University of Calabar Teaching Hospital (UCTH) has quarantined ten persons following the death of a patient in the hospital on Wednesday with symptoms commonly associated with Ebola virus.

A Nigerian student in Malaysia died on Wednesday after being beaten to death by an angry mob for allegedly trying to rape a woman in an elevator.

The incident took place at Flora Damansara apartments, and it was the residents who beat up the deceased, MalayMailOnline reports.

Lagos Pastor Arraigned for Defrauding Church Members

A Lagos pastor named David Oladele, has been arraigned at an Ebute-Meta court for allegedly defrauding his church members of millions of Naira from car deals.

According to Punch, “the pastor, along with others at large, allegedly defrauded six people by failing to remit profits from selling their cars, and issuing them dud cheques.” 

Daughter of Banana Island Founder to be Jailed in UK for 117,000 Pounds Fraud

42-year-old mother-of-five, Janine Adeleke, is facing jail time after being found guilty of 7-counts of cheating, fraud and money laundering at Canterbury Crown Court yesterday. 

She's been granted bail until her sentencing hearing in November. She claimed £117,000 in state handouts while she made £1.5million from running a high-class escort agency, Carltons of London, from her seaside home Bexhill-On-Sea, East Sussex.
