Drug Traffickers Excrete 50 Wraps of Cocaine at Lagos Airport
Two suspects – David Achebe, 37, and Daniel Ndukwe, 43- attempting to smuggle cocaine have been arrested at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport.
One of them who was heading to Hong Kong, excreted 45 cocaine wraps, after the arrest.
A statement by the spokesman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Mitchell Ofoyeju, described the arrests.
Lagos Govt Removes 2 Roundabouts on Lekki-Epe Expressway

Indonesia-based Nigerian Man Shot Dead By Police In Owerri Days Before His Wedding
Friday Eto Nduka, an Indonesia-based Igbo guy from Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, who returned to Nigeria this Christmas for his wedding was allegedly shot dead by police along Owerri Road in front of his fiancee and brother by a police inspector identified as Mike Edem, who was attached to a gas station following an argument. Friday Nduka was supposed to wed on Dec. 27th, being today.

FG Declares Dec. 26, 27, Jan. 2 Public Holidays
The Federal Government has declared Monday, December 26, and Tuesday, December 27 as public holidays to mark the Christmas and Boxing Day.
Government also declared Monday, January 2, 2017, as public holiday to mark the New Year
The Minister of Interior retired Lt.-Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau made the declaration in a statement released in Abuja on Wednesday.
James Ibori Regains Freedom
Delta State’s former Governor, James Ibori, has been released from prison in the United Kingdom after serving out his jail term.
According to reports, Ibori was released a few minutes past noon following a court order.
Tony Elumenor, one of his aide was reported to have confirmed the release of the ex-governor who was jailed for money laundering.

49 Die in Russia after Drinking Bath Oil Containing Toxic form of Alcohol
Authorities said on Monday at least 49 people have died after drinking berry-scented bath essence containing a toxic form of alcohol in the Siberian city of Irkutsk.
“Of the 57 people known to have consumed the poisonous liquid, 49 of them have died,’’ Alexander Semenov of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office said in comments carried by the Interfax News Agency.

Lol, and these men might probably not give their girlfriends or wives money. Anyway, a 22- year old suspect, Falope Oluwole, duped over 33 men while pretending to be a lady on Instagram. He has been arrested by operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of Lagos State Police Command.
Falope according to a statement by the Police was arrested when officials of the RRS decoy team, who had been monitoring him for some weeks, trailed him to a popular club in Ikeja City Mall on Thursday evening.

Lagos State to Commence Sale of N13,000 “Lake Rice” This Week

Woman Delivers Rare Form of Conjoined Twins at Lagos Hospital
A very rare form of conjoined twins were born at Med-In Specialist Hospital, Osogbo Street, Ogudu, Lagos on Tuesday at about 6.30PM, through an elective caesarean section.
The parents and medical personnel were expecting a set of twins as shown in the various scan results she had throughout her pregnancy.

South African Pastor Makes Church Members Drink Dettol Liquid Antiseptic
Prophet Rufus Phala of AK Spiritual Christian Church in Makgodu, Limpopo, South Africa made his church members drink Dettol, claiming the antiseptic liquid will heal their sickness.
According to Daily Sun SA, Prophet Rufus told the congregation to drink the disinfectant, promising they will be healed of their sickness.
UK Deportee Wanted For Killing Father And Stabbing Mother Over Disagreement
The Police in Lagos State has launched a manhunt for a suspected drug addict, and UK deportee, Babalola Rotimi jnr., for allegedly killing his father, Babalola Rotimi, and stabbing his mother, Adijat, in Magodo Phase 2 area of the state.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Dolapo Badmos, the suspect, who was deported from the United Kingdom, fled the scene of the crime and has remained in hiding.
The mother is said to have been in a coma since the attack last weekend and was receiving treatment in a general hospital in the state.

The men said the body enhancers give a wrong impression about the reality of the user’s physique.

A 15-year-old in Lawrence, Massachusetts has been arrested and charged for the murder of his high school classmate, whose decapitated body was found by the Merrimack River north of Boston last week.
On Saturday, Mathew Borges was charged with murdering and decapitating 16-year-old Lee Manuel Viloria-Paulino, who first went missing on November 18 after he left his grandmother’s house but never returned home.

A Nigerian drug convict in Cambodia, Precious Chineme Nwoko has had his hope for reprieve dashed. Nwoko, also known as Precious Max and linked with several Australian women arrested for being his mules, was sentenced to 27 years imprisonment in 2014.
Game of Thrones Star Peter Vaughan Passes on at 93
Veteran actor, Peter Vaughan, who starred as Maester Aemon in the HBO TV hit series, Game of Thrones has passed on, aged 93.
“This is to confirm that very sadly Peter Vaughan passed away at approximately 10.30 this morning. He died peacefully with his family around him,” his agent, Sally Long-Innes said in a statement.
Vaughan became popular after he starred as a villain Harry “Grouty” Grout, in the sitcom, Porridge about forty years ago.
Donald Trump is TIME’s 2016 ‘Person of the Year’
U.S. President-elect, Donald Trump has been named as TIME‘s 2016 Person of the Year.
The magazine announced its pick on NBC‘s “Today” on Wednesday morning.
“It’s a great honor, it means a lot,” Trump said in a phone interview after he was named.
“Especially me growing up, reading Time magazine, it’s a very important magazine. I’ve been lucky enough to be on the cover many times this year and last year,” he said.
This is the 90th time the magazine is naming the person who had the greatest influence, for better or worse, on the events of the year.
The magazine’s cover called Trump “President-elect of the divided States of America”.
Asked if Time’s announcement was a compliment, Trump said, “When you say divided states of America, I didn’t divide ’em, they’re divided now… we’re going to put it back together.”
Last year’s Person of the Year was German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Trump was a runner-up.

Two Corps Members Die in NYSC Camp

A Corps Member, Elechi Chiyerom, 27, on Tuesday died at the Bayelsa National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) camp after bleeding and vomiting on arrival at the camp.
According to PUNCH, the graduate of the Ignatius Azuru University of Education, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, was confirmed dead about 9pm on Tuesday five days after arriving at the camp.

Over 100 Nigerians sacked from Ericsson
Looks like it's a season of laying off staff. Over 100 Nigerians have been laid off by Ericsson Nigeria, a local subsidiary of the global telecommunications solutions provider. A letter sent to the disengaged staff members states that the termination of their appointment takes effect on Sunday, December 4th. Among those affected are 55 full-time employees of the company.
The company in the disengagement letters, said the positions of those affected have been declared redundant and that their redundancy benefits will be paid soon.
