Dear Brothers,
I have convoked you to this Consistory, not only for the three canonizations, but also to communicate to you a decision of great importance for the life of the Church.

I am well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiritual nature, must be carried out not only with words and deeds, but no less with prayer and suffering.

Chairman, House Committee on Human Rights, Hon. Beni Lar, said, Wednesday, that rapists would face life imprisonment once the current Violence Against Persons Bill becomes law.
Lar, who made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Abuja, said the National Assembly had decided to expedite action on the passage of the bill, considering the increasing prevalence of rape in the country.
She pointed out that the bill would not only protect rape victims but equally provide protection for victims of violence including physical, sexual, psychological, domestic, harmful traditional practices and discrimination.
She said: “My only concern is that in our laws today, the punishment for rape is very light and that is why you find people committing rape against children. It’s unfortunate.
“It is because of issues like this that it has come to the attention of the National Assembly that we have the Violence Against Persons Bill.

Reasons behind the Wizkid/Banky W split
Been hearing news of Wizkid's split from EME but wasn't sure if it was true. Apparently it seems its true tho. Found this gist on nigerian eye about the split.
The split between Banky W and Wizkid, inside sources say, resulted from an alleged high difference in what Banky W gets from revenues made by the young star, Wizkid.
The ‘injustice’, according to what NE gathered, has been bothering Wizkid until he summoned the courage to ask for an improved contract from Banky W, which hit him (Banky) by surprise.
“You know Wizkid is the backbone of EME music label. The boy (Wizkid) feels that Banky W has been milking too much from him with the large chunk of what Banky W takes from what the boy makes.
Lets see an example of EME’s costs & income ( for Wizkid)

An anti-rape female condom using a different design was invented by Sonnet Ehlers, a South African woman. Ehlers was motivated to create it while working as a blood technician with the South African Blood Transfusion Service, during which time she met many rape victims.
Ehler mentioned that she was inspired to create RAPEX (later renamed to rape-aXe) when a patient who had been defiled stated, “If only I had teeth down there,” suggesting the myth of the vagina dentata. Initially called RapeX, the name was changed in 2006 upon discovering that RAPEX is also an EU warning system against dangerous goods on the market.
