Social network has been buzzing. The twins’ publicist Bayo Adetu tells NET Jude was missing at the wedding because he was stuck in Ghana. Psquare had performed in Accra, Ghana at the ‘Glo and Bounce Slide‘ tour the night before. But a source who was part of another artiste’s entourage to Ghana for the concert says Jude Okoye did NOT travel to Ghana. ‘We didn’t see him, the twins were here with their band but we didn’t see Jude‘, our source who’d rather stay anonymous tells NET.

Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon Mourns Professor Festus Iyayi - "It is a lancinating loss of another stentorian voice..."

OK so former ASUU chairman, Prof. Festus Iyayi was killed on Tuesday in a auto crash while going to a meeting in Kano to call off the ongoing ASUU strike.

Reacting to his death, Patrick Obahiagbon had this to say...
"The grand initiation of Professor Festus Iyayi is a lancinating loss of another stentorian voice, against retrograde and prebendal forces of primitive mercantilism. That he passed through transition on matters pro bono publico, bears eloquent testimony to our state of dystopia. Such is the evanescence of life. Its all vanitas vanitatum."

TOEFL suspends testing in Nigeria INDEFINITELY over ‘security concerns’

This doesn't sound good. Nigerian students intending to take the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) examinations to enable them study abroad might have to explore other alternatives.

This is due to the fact that the administrators of the exam body have suspended further testing in the country due to what they have termed “security concerns’.

Both tests are very essential for the host of Nigerian students who travel out of the country to study as they are the world’s most common requirements for university and college admissions.

See their official statement below:

Due to security concerns in Nigeria, GRE® and TOEFL® testing in the country has been suspended for an indefinite period. Candidates who have appointments to take the TOEFL or GRE Tests will be contacted by ETS to process a refund.

I wonder what the alternatives are going to be.

‘Desperate Housewives Africa’ To Kick Off In Nigeria

Newly launched TV station, EbonyLife TV and Disney Media Distribution EMEA have set the ball rolling for a new series Desperate Housewives Africa. The show is set to get on air in the summer of 2014.

EbonyLife TV’s CEO Mo Abudu has come out to say that the show will have “an African soul” and will feature a cast of new and established pan-African talent that will showcase fashion by Nigerian dress designers.

The series will be filmed on location in Lekki, Lagos and as Disney EMEA general manager Giovanni Mastrangelo puts it, it will have “the opportunity to engage African audiences through locally relevant and entertaining storytelling.”

Looking forward to it as I am keen to find out if it's actually going to live up to the same expectations of the American version.

Hahaha, I actually kinda saw this coming. Movie producer, Charles Novia wrote a full length article on Maheeda and her new ways of grabbing attention. Do you agree with his views? Read the article below.

MAHEEDA’S MALADJUSTMENT -

In the past few months, some prominent and other bandwagon bloggers have been inundating the social media space with inappropriate pictures of a confused personality called Maheeda. From scanty information available about the lady, she used to be a prostitute who got ‘converted’ into Christianity and later released a Gospel album or some singles. Somehow, she decided to straddle the pop culture horse and brought out some nifty singles and videos which found backwater acceptance on Youtube.
