Gunmen attack corps members in Taraba State.
Gunmen yesterday attacked corps members living in the Family House of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, carting away laptops, phones and money.
This was contained in a distress call sent to media houses by one of the victims.
The victim said a group of young men invaded the lodge located behind Federal Government Girls College, Jalingo and held the 20 corps members hostage for hours.
The bandits stole three laptops, 24 mobile phones and the monthly allowances of the corps members, after gaining entrance into the building through a toilet in the female wing.
He said the armed robbers asked them of their states of origin and religion and threatened to behead them if they refused to cooperate.
He said they also threatened to rape the female corps members. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
