Governor Rotimi Amaechi donates $100, 000 to OJB

News has it that Governor Amaechi donated the said amount to OJB. According to sources online, the move was made by Jazzman Olofin, who was said to have visited Mr. Femi Davies, a top journalist and online publisher to complain about the way the people around are treating the issue of the prolific producer/singer. 

Femi Davies, then intensified efforts to liaise with another top journalist, Mr. Wale Olaleye, This Day Political Editor and he was said to have asked Mr. Davies to come forth with a formal letter of request to be forwarded to Governor Amaechi.



Reports say as soon as the letter got to the embattled governor, he signed it and ordered the state to pay as soon as possible. However, head of the fund raising committee for ‘SaveOJBJezreel’, Nomoreloss, says the Governor is yet to reach out to them.In a telephone conversation with NET, Nomoreloss said that he can not confirm the reports as they seem to be in the dark for now.

‘We have not yet gotten anyword from the governor yet, so, there’s no means to tell if it is true or not. If at all he has decide to help, there should have been a message from the officials of the government of Rivers State to us right now, but as at now, that is yet to happen’, he said.
