Crashed Nigerian Governor under intensive care

Five occupants of the plane which crashed on the outskirts of Yola on Thursday were taken to Federal Medical Centre, Yola, for treatment, reliable sources said. A correspondent of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), who visited the hospital's emergency ward at about 9.30 pm, said that the patients included the governor’s Chief Security Officer, his ADC and his co-pilot.

The governor, who was piloting the aircraft that crash on Yola-Numan road, was reportedly receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of Yola Specialist Hospital.  Mr Mohammed Ibrahim, Public Relations Officer of Adamawa police command, and Mr Luka Ikpi, Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission, told NAN that the victims were all found alive at the site of the crash and were rushed to hospital.

The  governor's Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Mijinyawa, confirmed that the Suntai was involved in the plane crash, saying, however, that no life was lost in the crash.
