May D was signed as a charity case, dropped from label for being ‘too ambitious’ - P-Square



Jude “Engees” Okoye, brother of Peter and Paul Okoye and CEO of Square Records says they sign artists to “give back to society”, but when May-D came on board he was too ambitious wanting to get what P-Square had, so they had no choice but to let him go.

“we sign in artistes as our way of giving back to the society, and by the time they become known, we let them be. However when May D came in, he wanted more than that, he wanted to be Psquare, a name that we have struggled to be build for years…”
