The police in Enugu have reported the death of three persons after two cars collided at Umumba Junction on the Enugu-Onitsha express way.
A statement from the spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, Mr Ebere Amaraizu, said seven other persons sustained various degrees of injuries in the accident. Amaraizu said the accident involved a Toyota Camry with registration number AL 578 AGU and a 504 station wagon with registration number AL 772 GGE.
The statement said both drivers died on the spot while the third casualty gave up in a hospital at 9th Mile Corner, near Enugu. The bodies of the unidentified casualties had been deposited in a mortuary.
