Robbery foiled because workers spoke no English and didn't respond to thieves' demands

Three gunmen attempted to rob a Chinese restaurant in Orlando, Florida Monday night, but their plans were foiled when none of the restaurant workers responded to their demands because they didn't speak English. The masked men entered New China after 9 p.m. and ordered the three employees working there to empty the cash register. None of the workers complied with the robbers' demands, however, because they only spoke Cantonese.

Frustrated, one of the assailants started banging on the cash register with his gun to try and make them understand what he was asking. The gun went off -- police believe accidentally -- and the assailants fled the store toward a nearby neighbourhood, where police dogs led authorities to their getaway car. This is where speaking no English actually helps, Lol!
