Dr. Nkem Thompson, a breast cancer survivor and general practitioner practicing in North London has become the first medical professional to win the Award2U-sponsored motivation speaker of the year award at an event held at the Kensington Town Hall, London, England. The award was given by Women4africa, a UK registered organisation focused on celebrating and empowering Africa and its women by supporting and celebrating their role in their communities via Conferences, supporting education and Awarding prestigious awards, recognition and special honours on such women identified and nominated by the public.

Dr Kem has a passion for imparting knowledge, and finds that public speaking is one of the best ways of doing so.
